Jewish Education: Torah’s Vision for Raising the Next Generation (Veeschanan)

What is education really meant to accomplish—fill a child’s mind, or shape the person he will become? The Torah places education at the center of Jewish life because the future of Judaism depends not only on what children know, but on who they become. This class explores the Torah’s vision for raising the next generation: beginning early, teaching each child according to his way, building faith and character, and creating habits that last for life. It also examines the roles of parents, teachers, and community, showing that true education is not simply the transfer of information, but the formation of identity, values, and a lifelong connection to G-d.
